UPDATE! Since this article was written a few months ago, we’ve expanded worldwide and changed our name to just Tech Ladies (no NYC). And we’re now introducing a new site called Hire Tech Ladies (www.hiretechladies.com) Read the updated story here.

I started NYC Tech Ladies about one year ago. What began as a casual coffee with some friends has grown to include ~1,000 women in tech.

So far we’ve nurtured an active online community and hosted more than a dozen meet-ups. We’re now a badass and diverse crew of founders, iOS and Android developers, data scientists, writers, designers, sales people, ops, biz dev, marketers, and much more.

It’s been an incredible year and now we want to do more…

I truly believe that most tech companies want to hire more women. That’s why I’m going to start sending a weekly email featuring carefully selected jobs/gigs/opportunities from companies/founders who want to hire more women.

The email will feature a few hand-picked opportunities that members of our group are likely to be interested in. There will be a small fee for posting, but no cost at all to women on the list.

That’s it. Just one simple idea to connect the best tech companies and investors to some of the smartest women in NYC tech.

We’ve already seen a lot of women get amazing jobs through our network, and I’m excited to see this happen more often.

How can you help?

  1. Startup Founders/ Hiring Managers/ VCs:
Drop me a line at Allison.Esposito@gmail.com and tell me what roles you’re hiring for and why you would like them to be shared with the NYC Tech Ladies.
  2. Self-identified women in tech:
    Join us!
Sign up for our NYC Tech Ladies mailing list if you’re not already on it.
Request to be added to our private Facebook group.
  3. Anyone else with a big heart:
Share this post with your whole network or pick one person you think it would be perfect for. That would really help us get the word out.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us this past year, I can’t wait to see what we continue to build together with NYC Tech Ladies!
