I always loved fiction movies when I was a child. As I grew up, I still love watching Marvel Studio movies. For no obvious reason.

I am still thinking it would be so cool to be like Ant-Man and get in whatever place I want in the world. For free.

I confess that I always dream of having a superpower.

But my definition of superpower was the ability to fly, disappear or bend steel with bare hands. This way of seeing things kept narrowing my possibilities of becoming a superhero one day in my life.

But what do superheroes do?

To my understanding, all superheroes do one thing in common. They all help ordinary people with their burdens.

This is important because everybody is having some kind of burden in their lives. I found out that is my opportunity to make a difference. To become a superhero too. But how do I achieve this?

As I let the screen players run the show, I almost forget that all human being is born with an innate superpower: the gift of speech.

Words can touch anybody’s soul. That is real power.

God actually spoke the world into existence.

Words work (wonders) just fine when kept positive enough.

Very few people acknowledge the power of the words that come out of their mouths.

I became aware of this power one day while I was giving a speech on the book of James Allen, As a Man Thinketh. A man was sitting in the front row that day, he paid very close attention to each word that was going out of my mouth.

I remember I was explaining the correlation between our thoughts and the circumstances we are facing. The man nodded in agreement to a couple of affirmations I made. Then suddenly, tears were flowing out on his face.

I felt embarrassed but I kept on with the presentation.

At the end of the program, the man came to me and said how meaningful my words were to him. He knew that something needed to change in his life but he didn’t know that the process to change one’s life starts in the mind. He was so glad that he had a starting point for the new life he was dreaming of.

This day, I felt helpful. I helped somebody with a huge burden. I felt like, hey, I am a hero.

Since that day, I knew everybody I encounter along the way is carrying some kinds of burdens, and It is my responsibility to use my God-given power to alleviate their pain.

Never underestimate the impact of kind words on others. That’s how I became a superhero.

Everybody can be a superhero using the power of words.

Moreover, also the fun part of it, I don’t need special outfits to use my superpower, but a specific state of mind is mandatory. A peaceful and positive mindset.

The bible gives a special hint on how to use this power for the benefit of all.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
